Addy's first Christmas! We will be spending Christmas in Denver with my brother Kamron's family. It should be lots of fun in the snow! Sadly, Robert will still be in Great Lakes.

Family Picture
Our first family photo with Adelyn. She's six weeks old now, but looking like she's nearly 3 months old.
Sadly, Robert leaves on Monday for Basic Training and will be gone for 9 months. The kids will definitely look different when he gets home.

Welcome Adelyn
She's here!!!
Adelyn Marie Hurt arrived early Thursday, October 9th at 5:23 am.
She came very fast! I started feeling contractions at 3:30 am but they were only 10 min apart. My water broke at 4:30 am when we were still at home. By the time we got to the hospital room it was just about 5:15. The contractions were incredibly painful and I wanted an epidural very badly, but when the nurse checked me, I was ready to deliver. She told me not to push and I had to wait for the doctor. It seemed like forever to wait for him, but once he was there, he told me to push and she came right out.
She weighed 9 lbs 4 oz, was 21 in. long and her head was 14 in. around. Talk about a big baby! Did I mention that I didn't get the epidural?
Unfortunately with her being so big and coming so quickly, she broke her left clavicle (collar bone). We have to keep her arm braced to her body, but they say it will heal with no problems.
She sure is an adorable baby!

Sworn in
Robert was sworn into the United States Navy a few weeks ago.
He reports to Boot Camp in Great Lakes, Illinois on November 24th (Thankfully after the baby is born). He is going into the Advanced Electronics/Computer program and is very excited about it.
This is definitely going to be a new adventure for our family. I am a little nervous about being home with two kids while he is gone, but I am very excited and happy for Robert as he starts this new chapter in his life.

Caleb turns 2!

Caleb just celebrated his 2nd Birthday on May 31st!
We had a fun bbq/pool party with friends and family. Caleb loves
to go swimming. We were able to spend time with Bonnie, Ramiro and Bryce before they left for Thailand.
Right now Caleb is obsessed with trains and was lucky to get a Thomas the Train set for his birthday. We had a lot of fun!

It's a girl!
We just had our ultrasound today and we found out that we are expecting a girl! We are so excited to have a daughter. We were pretty confident that it was a girl, even before the ultrasound so it was cool to confirm that we were right. My due date is Oct 10th. I am just over 19 weeks pregnant now- almost half way. So far the pregnancy has been very easy- I hope it continues that way. It definitely is going faster than the first one (probably because Caleb keeps me very busy).
